Team Jamaica '09 the countdown is on!!! (64 days and we will be on our way!) I am stoked about what God has in store for each one of us on this journey to Jamaica! For some of us, it will be returning to a place that is familiar and people that we long to be reunited with. For others, it is an adventure with many anticipations, expectations, some fears and a whole lot of questions. The thing that excites me the most is God is taking this journey with us, we don't walk it alone! Praise Him! I believe that God has handpicked every individual for this particular mission and every one brings their own unique gifts with them as we all set out to accomplish the mission together....and for that I am very excited!
This blog was set up so that we can have a place to document our journey. I have learned in my years of serving in mission work that it is not so much the destination but the journey that we draw near to the heart of God and experience Him in ways we never dreamed. I have seen Him move mountains, obstacles, fears...you name it, He has conquered it all in my life in the area of missions....so, Team, this blog is for you....a place to write it all down and go back after we all come home, January 26, 2009 and remember what our God did, not just in Jamaica...but the journey getting there! So, as God continues to work in your life...as He provides the means for your trip, as He reveals Himself to you in the small stuff...take a minute, log on here and write it down! You will not regret it!
